There’s a new pop teen queen on the scene, and she goes by Ashley Brinton.
Born and raised in Florida, and currently residing in Los Angeles, Ashley has been performing since she was only 7-years old. Now at age 17, this one-to-watch popstar has been writing and recording her very own music with Grammy Award winning producer Cory Rooney (Jennifer Lopez, Michael Jackson, Marc Anthony, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé), while working on an original sound and style that is fresh, bold and truly reflects who she is.
Just following her 2018 launch of “Trouble” which charted at #34 on the Billboard dance charts, Ashley Brinton recently released a new dance song, “Say the Word.” The song debuted a whole new side to the pop singer. A side that is confident, independent and brave…an evolution from her previous teen-geared hits.
Brinton attributes this evolution to finally knowing just who she is as an artist and as a person. Brinton says, “When I was younger I was writing songs where I didn’t know who I was, so that reflected on my music. I knew that I loved writing about relationships, but this song changes in the sense that I know that I’m happy being strong and independent and I know now that I don’t need to rely on anyone else except for myself.”
Ashley’s previous songs include debut single “All I Need” which she released in early 2017. She followed this up with two more pop anthems, “I Don’t Wanna Lose Your Love” and “Slow Down.”
As for what’s ahead for Ashley Brinton, we can expect to see more of this independent side from the pop-star. The singer shares, “I can’t change who I have come to be as a person, I can only keep evolving. This is really a direct reflection of my music now.”
